3rd Orbonne Monastery boss is Vagrant Story's Dullahan but named Dark Crusader (another VS boss who is also an empty armor like Dullahan). Lea Monde wine's high quality in the quest for Wandering Dramaturge, its quality is also moentioned by Ashley in Vagrant Story. Wandering Dramaturge saying one of A.J.Durai's quote. Wandering Dramaturge (Matsuno self-insert) saying one Sydney Losstarot quote. I'm glad I found this discord to write all this.ītw, this are the Vagrant Story references that I found in the FF14 raid: And in jRPG groups not much people plays MMOs, and there isn't so much people who talk about Vagrant Story. Also, Arazlam's deceased wife in FF14 is named Tia, the same name as Ashley's wife, so maybe Arazlam told Wandering Dramaturge give her name to that character as a triubute.Īll this has been a little difficult to talk to other people about, becuase in FF14 groups, tons of people aren't into single players jRPGs, and to the ones who are, not everyone has played VS or remembers it to recognise the references in FF14. Commissioned by Arazlam to Wandering Dramaturge, based a littel in real people and places, but every dialog was created by Wandering Dramaturge. Durai Arazlam in FF14: Arazlam Durai/Jenomis cen Lexentale If he's the same guy, maybe with full name Arazlam Jenomis Durai, and he's the one who commissioned Wandering Dramaturge to write a story, and maybe that story is for his next stage play. During the FF14 raid we find out that Arazlam is a theater company owner and director, and that his stage name is Jenomis cen Lexentale. ![]() One of those phrases is a quote to Sydney and the other is part of A.J.Durai texts that are shown during the beginning of the game (VS). But, Wandering Dramaturge says he's gonna do a commission work (most probably a story) andis sometimes he's saying random phrases, like he has a writter block. There are some references to Vagrant Story in this FF14 raid that somehow make the world of Vagrant Story to fit into FF14 (and I say 'somehow' because IIRC FF14 creator has said it isn't the same world but the references a A LOT and I consider it a grey area, at least until I finish the last FF14 expansion and see how the references still go), the main of them is that Leá Monde exists, and Müllenkamp and Ashley are mentioned to have existed some time before. In FF14, Arazlam is friend of Wandering Dramaturge, a story writter (Wandering Dramaturge is a self insert of Vagrant Story creator Yasumi Matsuno). At the end of the raids we hear from Arazlam how the end of the true hero was so sad that he wants to tell the real tale but giving him (the true hero) a happiest ending, so he changes the end of the story and that's the story that we saw in FFT, not what truly happened to the hero, but what Arazlam wanted to tell. In the Final Fantasy XIV Stormblood alliance raid Return to Ivalice we met Arazlam when he's researching the Durai Papers and we see firsthand how he uncovers truly what happened, but it's different from what we saw in FFT. ![]() At the beginning of FFT he says about a well known tale about a hero but that the Durai Papers says other man was the true hero, and the game shows the story of this true hero. Durai based on the information he got from the Durai Papers written centuries prior by his ancester. (sorry if my english isn't so good) Final Fantasy Tactics is narrated by Arazlam J. The following contains huge spoilers for Final Fantasy Tactics and the Final Fantasy XIV Stormblood alliance raid Return to Ivalice. I'm playing Final Fantasy XIV and I just finished the SB raids, created by Matsuno (Vagrant Story creator), and besides all the FFT references/epilogue and the FFXII references (that I know they will get bigger at the end of the next FF14 expansion that I'm just starting, maybe showing us what was Matsuno's original FFXII vision), there are some interesting references to Vagrant Story that could mean more than they say.
